This class will provide you with an overview of what kombucha is and a bit about its history. We'll delve into the fermentation process and walk you thru step-by-step on how to brew this ancient elixir covering equipment basics, ingredients, and techniques. Starter kits and SCOBY/starter tea will be available for sale if pre-ordered.
Instructor: Susan Fink, owner and brewmaster at Karma Kombucha in Mundelein. Susan has a B.S. in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin and 40 years of experience in the food industry. She currently serves on the Board of Kombucha Brewers International, the global trade association for the kombucha industry.
