Madagascar vanilla beans are processed using the "Bourbon" curing method. This technique typically produces vanilla beans with higher moisture content.
Vanilla beans are popularly used in styles such as Stouts and Porters to add an additional layer of sweet complexity. They are also used in conjunction with lactose sugar in the newer style of "Milkshake IPA" to simulate the flavors found in a milkshake.
